Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is an exciting new procedure in cosmetic surgery. In addition to traditional methods of waxing, shaving or electrolysis to remove unwanted hair, various laser wavelengths have shown efficacy in long term reduction of the hair follicle. The laser offers a faster reduction of hair in a shorter time without the side effects of inflammation and folliculitis caused by traditional hair removal methods. The laser treats an entire growth cycle of hair in a short period of time. Electrolysis removes individual hair follicles by use of an electric needle, leaving the skin erythematous and agitated for days.

Laser Centers of Wisconsin uses the Apogee Long Pulsed Alexandrite laser to treat unwanted hair in the face, breasts, underarms, chest, back, bikini, legs, toes, fingers and buttocks. For most patients with dark hair four treatment sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart are required to treat the active growing cycles of hair. Several touch ups over time may be required to maintain the hair reduction. We have been using the Alexandrite laser for over three years and have the greatest experience in treating patients for hair removal in the area. Our laser exclusively uses a chill tip to reduce redness after treatment and assist in treating all skin tones.

Hair that is blonde, grey or white in nature is best removed by electrolysis also offered in our clinic. A comprehensive hair removal plan will be outlined in a free consultation with prospective clients.

Laser Centers of Wisconsin is pleased to offer an array of hair removal methods to fit your needs such as: hair color and skin tone at any price range. We have added two new hair removal systems to our center. First is the SLP 1000, a super long pulsed diode system. This laser allows us to treat dark skin tones (African American, Hispanic, South American, Indian) with fewer side effects and even is safe to treat tanned skin. Although our plastic surgeons do not recommend tannng, we are able to treat those patients who do tan. We also have added the EsteLux System for "photowaxing". Photowaxing is a procedure that uses a light system to remove the hair for 10-12 weeks at a time. It is less expensive than laser permanent hair reduction but lasts longer than traditional waxing without the side effects. Photowaxing is effective on any color of hair or skin. And for those of you who want to temporarily experience smooth "hair free skin", we offer traditional waxing in L'image Skin Spa, our medically supervised skin spa.

Today, we offer hair removal solutions for any skin tone, any hair color and at any time!
